This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.

Shermer High School,
Shermer, Illinois, 60062.Dear Mr. Vernon,
We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did was wrong. But we think you’re crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. That’s the way we saw each other at 7:00 this morning. We were brainwashed. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal. Does that answer your question?
Sincerely yours,
The Breakfast Club

From the BBC Archives - Edith Russell aged 90 in 1970 recalls in vivid detail her experiences of being on the Titanic as it sank.
She’s incredibly lucid, funny, ballsy and interesting.
